For Construction, we proactively increased our utilization goals from 25/6.25% to 30% Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and 10% Minority Business Enterprise (MBE), first with Bioscience CT and now with our NextGen CT initiative.

Non-Construction (Commodities) – Related S/MBE Utilization
Utilization Goals are set at the beginning of each fiscal year for approval by the Department of Administrative Services. Once approved exemptions are deducted and the adopted agency budget is adjusted, 25% of that adjusted budget is expected to be allocated to SBE’s and 25% of that to MBE, which equates to 6.25% of the adjusted budget.
